Med-Tech Support Services is a family owned and operated biomedical equipment business that has been serving the Midwest for two generations. We serve public and nonprofit large healthcare organizations, surgery and procedural centers, laboratories, medical offices, veterinary medical clinics and veterinary organizations, and dental practices.

Do you sell home medical equipment?
We only work with medical facilities and we do not sell or repair any home medical equipment.

What area(s) do you service?
We service all of Michigan (including the UP) and Northern Indiana. We typically have a technician in the West Michigan area daily.

What types of equipment do you specialize in repairing?
We specialize in repairing a wide range of medical equipment including table top sterilizers, patient monitors, electrosurgical units, exam tables, dental handpieces, EKG machines, ultrasound machines, patient monitors, exam tables, infusion and syringe pumps. What is your typical turnaround time for equipment repairs?
Technician contact time to troubleshoot and schedule repairs is within 24 hours. We consider the urgency of the repair and the type of equipment, and we are committed to servicing your equipment as promptly as possible. but this can vary depending on the complexity of the issue and availability of parts.

Do you offer on-site repairs or can we send equipment to your facility?
We do perform bench repairs for various items. Our most common bench repair items are table top sterilizers, patient monitors, EKG machines and dental handpieces. Our turnaround time is typically a bit longer than if we visit your office, depending on each customer's needs. Additionally, we may visit your site and decide to bring the unit back to our shop for additional testing. This is when our loaner program becomes very helpful!

What warranties or guarantees do you provide for your repairs?
Our labor is warrantied for 90 days. Part warranty varies by manufacturer and we always guarantee the manufacturer warranty. Our labor is not guaranteed when a part is purchased outside of Med Tech.

How do you handle sensitive patient data during repairs?
Patient privacy is a top priority, and Med-Tech will never be present with your patient without one of your staff members present. If our technicians are exposed to any data, which is unusual, we have proper HIPPA training to protect your patients’ health information.

What is your pricing structure for repairs, including labor and replacement parts?
Our pricing is transparent and competitive. We provide detailed estimates after diagnosis for many services, outlining the cost of labor and any required replacement parts. Additional charges, if any, will be communicated before proceeding with repairs.

How long will it take to get a technician to our site to repair medical equipment?
If you repair is urgent, we try to schedule a technician the same day and is based on technician availability. We take into account your daily operations and how they are affected by your broken equipment.

Do you repair/sharpen medical instruments (scissors, forceps etc.)?
Yes, we use an outside vendor for our medical instrument sharpening and repair. Turnaround time depends on our vendors’ workload, amount of pieces and amount of damage to pieces.
